Here are some showcased bands and musicians we are proud to link to FLOM circle; musicians who have performed or will perform at one of our events, or who we’ve stumbled across on our musical adventures.
Simon Garrard

Simon Garrard is a singer/songwriter from london who blends his moving, often anti-establishment lyrics with his alt-folk music. Originally from Surrey he moved to Australia where he started gigging seriously around Melbourne after his first performance at the Old Bar on Brunswick Street. His time down under honed his laid back acoustic style but his lyrics retained their bitter poetry.
On his return to England and university in London, Simon played with various bands but eventually settled playing with a Gloucester based band, Vital Logistics. In between work and festival slots with Vital Logistics, Simon found time to record in Inflight Studios with Charlie Khan and so the Dirty Hands E.P was formed. A support slot at the Betsey Trotwood followed and now the search is well and truly begun to find gigs to showcase Simon’s new material.

Pete Leonard
Salisbury native Peter Leonard has been making a name for himself as a popular local performer with his left-field musical stylings, improvisational live performances and use of ethnic world instruments over the last 6 years.
Drawing on classic masters such as Skip James and John Lee Hooker as the base for his inspiration Peter is also informed by a love of avant-garde electronica and experimental production that has resulted in live performances that range from pure archetypal blues maestro to Aphex Twin-esque musical explorer.
At core his songs are charmingly cinematic with flashes of the surreal that paint a landscape of old Blues and the new that will delight lovers of roots music and beyond.
Having just recorded his new album ‘Headlights’ with added Bolivian lute, Chinese flute, banjo and harmonica Peter will undoubtedly be laden with an array of musical armour to conquer. .
